Groin
Injury (groin muscle strain)
A groin injury is actually a strain of the muscles or tendons that
attach along the inside of the leg to the pubic bone. These
muscles are leg adductors, and they are critical stabilizer muscles
in sports that
require quick changes in direction or sports such as hockey
and rollerblading. The specific muscles that are often injured
in this situation are the pectineus, adductor longus, adductor magnus,
semi-tendinosus, and gracillis muscles. Active Release Technique
is a very useful treatment for these muscles since it removes any
muscular or tendinous adhesions in and between these muscles.
